Budworth Sailing Club

2009 saw a good years racing across the main points, Summer and Autumn series of races as well as open meeting attendance. Four boats attending the nationals in Weymouth. 

2010

The 2010 main points season started on Sunday 14th March, running through to the 17th Oct (with a pause in the main summer holiday period).

We look forward to an exciting and pleasurable years sailing ‘on the mere’, and further a field when we join other clubs for FI organization meets.  Please see the association web site for details of national events at, UKFA where you will find lots of Fireball related information and great photos, especially of this years worlds held in Barbados. UK boats finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th with 7 of the top ten boats being from the UK.

Budworth Open Meeting - 10th July 2010

The Fireball open meeting will take place on Saturday July 10th. First of three races starting 11am. Please contact the class captain for further details.

21st June 2010 - Fireball Teams Win During the Commodore’s Weekend

The Fireball fleet were awarded two prestigious wins during this key club weekend.
The first went to Katie Crompton who won the prestigious Budworth Belle in Sundays handicap race.
The second went to Mike Guess and John Smith who won the ‘Super Veterans’, again in Sundays handicap race.
Congratulations to them.
