About Us
The Budworth Laser fleet is very keen with over fifty boats. Club fleet racing takes place from April to October on Sunday afternoons when we attract between ten and fifteen boats most weeks. The Icebreaker Handicap series throughout March is open to non-members, as is the fleet racing in the Autumn Series, held in November and December.
If you’re a keen Laser sailor in another club then our Northern Grand Prix Open is on Sunday July 1st, 2012.
Fleet members are always happy to help new members with tips on rigging and sailing. The club can run training courses to help improve basic sailing skills and race training for more experienced sailors seeking to improve their competitive skills.
We have a club Laser available for those wanting to experience the Laser, with a small fee levied to cover the cost of maintenance and insurance.
Handicap racing for all fleets, including Lasers, takes place on Saturday afternoons from April to October and on Wednesday evenings from May to August when there is a Laser series as well as handicap racing.
