RS200

The RS200 is a one-design asymmetric dinghy, designed by Phil Morrison in 1995 and is 4m (13′) long with a beam of 1.83m (6′). It has a fully battened main, jib and an asymmetric spinnaker which is launched in one easy action by virtue of the bowsprit like spinnaker pole. More information is available at the RS Class Association or LDC websites.

The boat is ideal for light-ish teams and its responsiveness makes it ideally suited for tactical racing. What’s more, the asymmetric spinnaker makes sail handling simplicity itself while still providing the thrill of those fast, three-sail reaches.
