1946 - sailing rights at Budworth Mere were obtained by Dr Kennedy Young and R.Watson Smyth. Annual rental £30.00. Right of way on foot from Farmer Bert Kinsey a further £9 per year. The Snipe Fleet was granted a Charter Fleet No: 217 from the Snipe Class International Racing Association (SCIRA) February 3rd 1947 .
1948 - The Secretary disappeared from Manchester with the funds.
1949 -space for boat gear was rented from the Cock of Budworth for £1.00 per year-16 Boats sailing at Budworth
1950-first landing Stage built
1951-First two pontoons launched-Sections merged with M.C.A .
1953-New site leased from Arley Estates, not enough funds for a clubhouse at £300. Moved to new (present )site at village end of the mere.
1954-New Clubhouse 30ft x15ft built by Cowin. Financed by members interest free loans
1955- GP14s at Budworth, Clubhouse extended changing rooms added.
1956-10ft of extra land rented, Class Captains appointed for the first time.
1957- Ecological disaster - the shell oil pipeline leaked oil into the mere to a depth of 9ins site taken over by the Ministry of Fuel and Power.
1958 - Club bought for £900 from Arley Estates.
1959 - Start of Cadets.
1960 - Motor rescue boat purchased. Fishing rights let to Northwich Anglers.
1961 - J.A Kennedy Young elected first life member.
1962 - Subscriptions raised to £6.00 FBO and £5.00 FNBO
1963 - First year of Budworth Champion Helm-New Clubhouse opened 16th June 1963 cost £4,500.
1964 - Pile Driven G.P.Jetty started in the spring.
1966 - Perkins outboard motor from Rescue Boat “Rosie” stolen in winter break-in.
1967 - Winter series stopped by foot and mouth outbreak.
1968 - Dr J.A Kennedy-Young Founder Member died after several months of illness. AGM members voted to become an independent Club.
1969 - Budworth sailing club registered as a separate Club with RYA.
1970 - Trouble over sailing rights ; R.A.Pitt died , a great loss to Budworth and MCA.
1971 - Fireballs turned down as a replacement class. Clubhouse enlarged and showers fitted .
1972 - Marston Hall Estates reported to have dropped challenge over sailing rights.
1973 - Agreement made with Cheshire CC for schools sailing.
1974 - Start of Lasers at Budworth, threat of public boating from Marbury receding.
1975 - New bar and lounge opened costing £10,176
1976 - A Booth won the fireball Nationals.
1978 - first year of Fireballs .
1981 - Lady members object to being singled out for Galley duty.
1982 - Club Membership declined resignations of non-sailing wives.
1983 -Farmer Gibbons part of the mere was auctioned. BSC acquired 1/3rd joint ownership with Northwich and Warrington Anglers.
1984 - Wind speed indicator purchased
1985 - Major repairs on the G P. Jetty
- 1986 40th Anniversary of the formation of the Club.
1987 - Purchase of a new automatic timer for starting races.
- 1987 -Toppers first year of sailing at Budworth.
1990 - On Feb 26th severe gales hit Cheshire and the roof was blown off the OOD’s box.
1991 - Several break-ins this year. H. Brown won the Laser Masters.
1993 - Great success with the junior sailing program. Optimists introduced as a boat class.
1994 - Phil Hackney and Bill Kenyon organised a Sailathon for Children in Need raising £3,800. Debbie Love won the Orkney Challenge Cup.
1995 - Club house frontage and extension to the lounge carried out.
